Jason, I love that Magnavox almost as much as the K-mo itself. They have the Lexus of record-changing cycles as far as I'm concerned.

I'm surprised to see the agitation starts before the machine has refilled completely. I've seen old K-mo's that refill but don't agitate and ones that refill, then agitate, but never one that does what yours does.

Great video! Some of you may have noticed the Frankenmore starting up with the characteristic Kenmore "click-KLUNK!" in the background, at approximately 13 seconds in!

I will say this: That machine MUST be happy in its new home at Jason's...it never klunked or clicked that much here, LOL! ;-)

Yep, Frankenmore makes all of the classic Kenmore noises. The whine, the click clunks between agitation and the grind click clunk at spin.

that is a nice Kenmore and the music is great with that classic machine.
I would like to know if you re-adjusted the water level to come up that high in the basket or that is the factory setting?

Our '68 Kenmore 900 partially drained, started filling and agitating at slow speed at the same time during the cool-down for the Permanent Press cycle......IIRC, it did this at least twice during the cool-down.

Please don't take offence, but I think there are too clothes in there, especially for the slow speed. I never liked that KM and WP machines switched to the low speed during the wash and kept it during the rinse too. When I was growing up my mom used that PP cycle all of the time (even sheets!, but no towels)and our clothes didn't really get clean.
