That is pretty!

But I am not a fan of the pushbuttons on a GE stove.
We had a coppertone GE cook top stove (I think it's called?)
And although the styling was nice, one of the set of buttons got harder & harder to push down. And then the burner quit getting hot.
We now have a black newer GE cook top with knobs for the burner. So you can adjust the burner to how hot you actually want it!

I like the knobs of the newer black cook top better (for how they work) but I prefer the look/styling of the older coppertone cook top.

Hippiedoll!

Regarding what you have now, is it standard electric stove or one of those glass top models with black with knobs? If so and it's the black glass top, we have one and it's difficult and annoying to keep clean. Using it takes some practice, too, even with the black knobs to adjust heat.

I think I agree with you on buttons, but I was attracted to the overall look of that stove above.

I wouldn't mind having this GE here:

Ovrphil!

Hello my friend!

That white stove is nice looking, but I'm a sucker for windows, and I like color too. So I agree with you, I prefer the overall look of the shaded avocado stove. It is pretty, and has a classy style to it
:o)

As for our cook top stove, it has the knobs and 4 coil burners (2 big & 2 small). It seems like the smooth top stoves end up getting scratched looking.
My sister & her ol man have a newer flat glass top stove. But I don't know what brand it is??

But I do know they have a maytag 806 washer, because they're using my unshaded harvest gold 806.
Hm hm hm...
:o)

Oh right, Christina..windows!

What did you do to replace your A806...just replace it with another one in another color?

I'm not a fan of our new Whirlpool glass top ovens provided by the new apartment complex. No broiler oven provided, no instructions, labor of love to clean(tyhpically just LABOR), chincy doors, sharp edges on the pull out drawer below requiring adding some tape. Neither of us like the stove or the fridge, but ..not going to complain, we're lucky overall. Photos are poor, sorry.

I personally

Like the fixed heat of the pushbuttons much better than infinite heat, once you get used to them, you know instinctively which heat to use, and they are always exactly the same.

Sorry Phil,

I'm just seeing your reply.
As for the gold A806,I found the 1972 coppertone A806 and I couldn't not get it!
Shaded brown color,
Tub light,
And bleach dispenser on the right corner (timed bleach?)
And for $50.
Thanks to Roger he gave the coppertone a 2nd life and got it up & running again
:o)

Norgeway...

I guess that's a different way of looking at the push button stoves that I didn't think about, after having trouble with our push button cooktop?
:o|

Phil...

Yes I've posted pics of my maytags

For the coppertone 806, in the imperial section search box, type in:
chocolatey, coffee, shaded coppertone goodness!!

And the post will come up for you.

I'm sure I've posted pics of the gold GA806 & GDE808 set, and also the white A608 & DE308 set, and gold GA208 washers that I've gotten.
But not sure how you could find those posts because it's been such a while, I don't remember what I titled them as?
:o/

And I come here almost daily & read. So I'm on here, but mostly lurk because I'm not very mechanical & don't have much knowledge about fixing appliances.

I'll find them...thank you Christina!😎 Found the thread. After seeing so much here, I found it, noted I made a comment about it..but it was like revisiting anew, your thread. I love that white tub. I wish ALL tubs were white and the water always blue, but then there's this thing called dirty laundry. lol. [this post was last edited: 7/28/2017-11:12]
