My first time seeing one in action. We put in a few small items and it took seemingly forever. However it didn't help that she overdid the detergent by putting in a full huge cap instead of less and 1/4 as marked on it. The machine went into Sd mode which after reading the manual I found out meant suds reduction. And the great nephew was apparently fascinated with it as well.

AHHH The aplliance bug bites again!

Looks like the bug has found a new victim. Did your nephew stand in front of the washer and watch it go thru the entire cycle? If so, watch out, he's gettin' the fever.

The bug shows no mercy and does not discriminate when it comes to the age of a possible recruit into the inner sanctum that we all enjoy. (yeah, I've lost it.....LMAO)

Nice looking machines...you'll have to let us know what your sis think's of them.

Would I sound bitchy if I said something like, "He's probably trying figure out why so little actual washing is going on given the amount of time gone by and beeps/whistles/lights from the machine." ??

Did the clothes come out clean? How long is a cycle with a normal amount of detergent?

Jim

I think they cycle initially initially displayed 54 minutes but that dragged on much longer because of the over sudsing.. When I left it still had about 7 minutes to go. It had probably been running for near 70 minutes by then.

70 minutes

I'd lie if I said I didn't like the lighted dials and panel - but the wash time, even w/o the SD reminded me of our FL GE w/d (sold now)...they took forever to wash and dry. A half hour to forty five minutes using mostly air mixed with precious H20. Alot of C02 from cussing resulted outside the machine.

...will be interesting to see how she likes these after using a few months down the road...

(not too confident about today's washers or dryers, outside their sparkly dashboards)
