Just wanted to bring this thread back to tell everyone I finally tried the COLA ROAST. Well....It was very simple, and very delicious. I used a boneless chuck roast, (we call them California roasts in NJ). You could not tell that the roast was cooked in Coca Cola. It was very tasty. Better than...you know what. LOL We ate the WHOLE thing. TIP: The roast made it own gravy, but you many want to pour off in a separate saucepan and thicken with a little corn starch or flour and water.

Italian Beef

Hey Veg. Thanks for the heads up on the Italian Beef. We are going to try this next. I generally cook more dishes in a pressure cooker rather than a crock pot. But....i have been using the crock pot more this winter. I guess the Italian Beef or pot roast could be done in a pressure cooker. I will have to try and let all the pressure cooker fans know.

I know that this is what the local Foodtown called them years ago, so this is what stuck in my head. I have to check the package the next time.
