and an interior shot. Its so clean, the little vent on the top of the door blows out hot air from the dry, called Turbo something drying.
I use the universal plus program all the time, doesn't take long.

Lovely machine Matt.
`Universal'...I'm sure that black fascia Zanussis used to use that word in the 80s! Programme `C' if I remember!
Could you tell us a little about the different cycles / temperatures / cycle times etc please?

Oh, I just noticed it has a standard cutlery basket. I think the UK equiv model now has the trademark third drawer thing going on. But wouldn't that mean less depth for stuff in the other two racks, cramming in a third drawer I mean?
We had a very similar version of that model in our Calgary house model G894 Turbothermic. I think it was 894. Mostly the same programs cept they didn't call the universal, just short medium long and ours had a temp select dial for 35C or 55C. It was the second to lowest cost model, the cheaper not having the turbothermic dry option. Which only uses the residual heat in the machine blowing around to dry the dishes and works very well. We didn't have the cutlery tray either which takes up space hence not allowing you to load dinner plates in the top rack. I also figured it was to fussy to load the cutlery tray having to neatly place each piece on there.

I'm amazed that the base model doesnt have the Plate guard racks in the bottom tier, I thought it was standard now.
We love our cuttlery tray, we devide it into 4 quadrants, and load like items with like. That way to unload we just scoop up the like items and drop them in the drawer. It takes more time to load, but less to unload.
I wouldnt have a cuttlery tray in a non TT Miele, there isnt enough space in the cabinet. I leave the middle rack in the middle position and that gets me 21cm (4cm more than the standard tub machine) in the middle and 29 in the bottom.
With that amount of room, everything fits pretty much ok, I only have 1 set of wine glasses that go in on an odd angle to get them to fit.

Hi Guys,
so far i have only used Universal, Universal Plus and Economy cycles. The universal plus takes about 2 hours max and the Plus part is a prewash at the beginning. Universal has no prewash and jumps straight into the wash and takes around 1:30. Economy i didn't really monitor but seemed to take around an hour.
I don't know much about the temps only that universal and uni plus are HOT! (probably around 65*).
This machine as three spray arms, a metal one on the bottom, a plastic one in the middle and another smaller metal one on the top of the cabinet. Its very very quiet yet cleans so well. The only time you really hear a distinct noise is when it is doing its TurboThermic drying when the little fan in the door is on and blowing out the air. This is no louder than the fan on your pc however.
I try not to cram it full but theres three of us in the house so its been getting pretty full, i'll do a video of the next load i do later on today sometime. Even when its chockers full everything comes out spotless.
I put in something to test it the other day. On our breadmaking machine there is a little paddle that kneads the dough before baking, when you pull the loaf out this is covered in fresh sticky bread and its really caked on solid. I put his in the cutlery basket right at the bottom and when it came out it was spotless, i couldn't believe it. But then again, ITS A MIELE!! LOL.
BTW, the detergent i have been using is Finish (Electrosol) Lemon Power Powder with matching Rinse Aid.
I wish i could have this dishwasher but i'm only here for another coupla weeks so sadly i'll have to leave it back to its owner (grrr).
The next house i move into is gonna be all Miele appliances, even if i have to sell my body i don't care, everyone should have Mieles LOL.

My biggest mistake was not removing our Miele and sticking a cheapie dw in its place before our house went on the market. Everything happened so fast when they listed the house and it sold that same day I didn't want to take a chance that the people that came thru and eventually bought it would know.

Bought exactly this model in 2000 when idiot movers dropped 17 year old Miele (never broke once) down stairs.
Not one problem in eight years daily use.
Load it very full, don't pre-rinse.
"Universal plus" washes at 55° with an extra long wash time spent at the right temperature for the enzymes to eat through starch.
Try one of these just once and you will never go back to the modern US crap they sell at the same price, or the more expensive but fiddly Bosch.
