Found some neat stuff today at the flea market, was especially happy to get this Hamilton Beach Commercial Bar Blender, it sez so right on the front label..3 prong plug and all. The jar is plastic but just a table or two down there was a HB glass jar and lid so I grabbed that as well. Works beautifully, two speeds, all metal construction. Only 10 bucks for the blender but the guy selling the jar gouged me for 10 as well..still in all was worth it.

As well there were mixers galore, so I got these at 3 for $5.
An avocado Sunbeam 5 speed, an Iona with box, a Supermix and a little Dormey (he has the beaters just didn't have them with him so I'll get them next week hopefully). As well I found an old old Popiel Bros slicer/dicer, precursor to the Veg O matic with it's original 50's box but can't for the life of me find where I put it down.. lol

Sorry bout the double post... Now this was cool also in the 3 for $5 box..I've never seen it before.. A Ronson Can Do handheld electric can opener and knife sharpener. It's quite heavy actually, you flip the little thing up on the side to put your can in and squeeze the chrome handle.. or you can sharpen knives on the front where there's a spinning sharpening wheel, even the power cord is super thick. Well built stuff just like my old Ronson Cook'n Stir blender.

I really like your avocado mixer...my grandma had one similar! Thanks for the great pictures!

Flea Market art

I couldn't let these two oil paintings behind, I'm decorating SIL's apartment trying to rid it of bare wall syndrome so these will come in handy. The painting on the left is especially well done, it's too bad these pics don't show so well. On the back whomever painted it at least wrote where it was,, the Choisy Valley in Quebec.

But wait there's more

I was going mad wondering where the slicer dicer went and I finally found where I put it down..
It's called the Slice-a-Way from Popiel Bros, Chicago, very very cheap brittle plastic with a slide in steel razor sharp blade and no way of protecting your fingers..lol
Comes with a Manufacturers guarantee, made of Lustrex plastic, original price $2

Pete, you always find the coolest stuff! How many blenders does that make now...?

That Super Mix looks sweet. Who made it?

And a Can-Do! Never seen one up close and personal.

Enjoy your treasures.

How many blenders? Probably around 25 and a couple more on the e-bay way. The SuperMix was made by Superior Electric Prods in Cape Girardeau MD. I have one of their electric fans as well. I haven't tried out the Can Do yet, it could be Can Don't LOL

Me Likie!

Pete:

Cool finds! You have such a great flea market! All we get here is cheap bojack @&*#! Even the fleas wouldn't buy it! LOL

Congrats.....send some of your serendipity down here, will ya! ;-)

Nice catches Petie.

DORMEY? I thought DORMEYER was a brand.
or is someone trying to be cutsey?

BOJACK? and THAT isn't what they wanted to nick-name ME?
*HRUMPH* Even without an "L" I think I should be offended.
(LOL)

P.S Thanks for the Ronson cook-n-stir link on flea-pay.
My first *VIRGIN* attempt to buy from that source. I got out-done by a $5 sniper bid! UGH
