Unless my eyes are deceiving me, I don't think there's anything in the dryer, it's just so badly stained with blue from jeans washed in cold water. p That's probably one of the worst I've ever seen.

What can you expect when the ad states "Fairly used" - whatever that means, but it doesn't sound good.

I agree Bob, that's one of the worst I've seen for staining.
The worst KM dryer I've seen was a gas model with limit switch that cut out too high AND the rollers that needed to be replaced 2 decades ago so that the drum sank and the edge wore a hole in the back wall of dryer.
That's wasn't fixable. lol. How they used it all that time with the noise and the metal shavings in their clothes..... ?

RJ's Neptune dryer found for free on CraigsList in Nov 2006 (serial Nov 2000) had been run with bad drum slides and/or rollers to destruction, until the edge of the drum split and tore through the drum front. I found the edge of the drum jammed through the front behind the door shroud like razor wire. Parts were available so I repaired it. Front $55.99, drum $69.99 via SearsParts.

I see newer GE dryers all the time that have cut into the front panel with the drum.
I have a Catalyst (the matching dryer is running at the Ave A rental with a VMW) that is still on hold until I get up the gumption (and decide what to do about living space for it) to do a bit of transmission service and the reassembly for a complete mechanical rebuild on it.
I'd be interested in the various rare parts (console, water valve assembly, drain valve) but I suppose someone else would have more fun with it intact.

We have a customer that still has this pair with a gas dryer. The washer like other electronic WP-KMs catalyst machines often have control problems, the dryers were more reliable.
This is what happens if you don't take that darned blue plastic off the consoles, the blue tint will spread to the dryer drum, LOL

I picked up a Maytag dryer once that was used in a hair salon. They used purple towels exclusively.
