At the closed VOA/Marti "A" transmitter plant there is a Marconi 500Kw SW transmitter-HORRIBLE set-would always leak water and had tuning difficulties.May it Rust or is it rest in peace!Been silent since 2006.
That Marconi TV/Hi-fi console appears to be pretty nice-would have known it would have a Garrard TT!Never seen one of these.One of those console Hi-Fis with a TV in its belly.Could spark arguments over should we watch TV or play records?

Could it be another label for Electrohome? I think that was another brand which was Canada only. Doubt it was Clairtone...lol

Marconi was a separate brand. We had 2 Marconi sets when I was a brat. They were made in my hometown of Montreal

The college I went to had an Electrohome PA amp in the drama class stage-had to fix it-replaced the output,driver and one mic input amp tubes.Worked just fine after tube change-6550 tubes in the output-that thing could put out some sound!!!And sounded good-couldn't remember what speakers were used.
