Very low or NO! use. Look at the cap, the agi & the tub.

 

Too bad she didn't do a front shot, rather than the left side, so we could see if it has the neutral timer 0.....8 or the automatic time HOLD 0....8, and whether it's a pumper or gravity drain.

 

From the way she talks, it is clear she hasn't used it.

 

But for a buck, this is the Black Friday deal of the season.

I'd call their bluff and offer whatever the scrap metal guy would pay if that's what they're threatening to do with it.  I'd be sparing them the heavy lifting.

This would be just a hop, skip and jump for me if I was visiting my in-laws, but that won't happen til mid-December. We were planning on renting a van or SUV - but a truck and keeping it upright would be the right approach. They haven't deleted the ad yet. Scrap yard? I can't mutter the words rushing through - !@#$%$#!!!

Our Ralphie, why did they say to bring "CASH" if it's only a dollar?

 

Not sure of the year, but at some point, SQ altered the transmission and the speed of the stroke increased dramatically. Pretty sure that this is the fast stroke machine. The wide 180 degree arc is the same but the now there is a dance in her step. Mine is similar to the one pictured--the fast one.

 

Still wishing to see her face. Mine has no timer at all, just wash and pump. Don't know the nature of the finish on these second generation machines (circa 1980), but they seem not to age. Have had mine for 17 years, and it was ten when I bought it and still pristine now.

Mike, I know!  When I see "$1" on a CL ad, my eyes start to roll.

 

Since the ad is still up, maybe they didn't get to the scrap yard yesterday as threatened.

Mickeyd: really, ca.1980's? I didn't realise there was a market for wringer washers in the 80's let alone the 70's. Hopefully, they're bluffing about the scrap yard to expedite a sale? My eyes roll not so much over the $1 price-tag-carrot, but the "remove the agitator and make a beer cooler out of it, it has wheels.." !!

I have great memories, as a 2-5 yr old, helping mom wring the clothes out on our wringer washer ..and it would be luxury to buy this for sentimental reasons....but space is limited here...can only hope it gets justice and avoids scrapyard doom.

Zippier model, eh? I guess that red agitator color has some Ferrari in it. ;-)
