I watched the pilot/1st episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show the other day. Laura had a Westinghouse kitchen then (which made sense as Desilu had Westinghouse's sponsorship).
The kitchen you saw in the pilot was slightly different than for the remainder of the series run. The Westinghouse built-in oven was on the left of the kitchen-pass thru. To the right of her kitchen sink cabinet, the cabinet made an "L" shape and Laura had a Westinghouse built-in dishwasher.
Can someone access this and post a picture?
In watching the first year season of "My Three Sons," I saw that "Bub" had an all Frigidaire Kitchen, and the laundry room had a Frigidaire washer and dryer. This also made sense, as the first year was sponsored by Chevrolet, which of course was a GM brand and GM made Frigidaire.
In one episode, Steve is working on the washer which he didn't know was inadvertently unplugged by Robbie, he reaches in a pulls out some things such as a paper clip, etc. Unfortunately, we don't get to see inside the tub, nor see it in operation.
The washer and dryer seemed pretty sleek for 1961.
