Does anyone know what fridge and stove were on Mr. Rogers? I was thinking the stove may have been a low-line Caloric based on the knobs placement being vertical across the front. The fridge I am not sure.
Hard to make out the stove or refrigerator but the appear to be from the 1950s. The show was filmed at WQED Pittsburgh the entire time it was on the air.
That would be WTAE Channel 4...I remember when their microwave tower looked like this....much more interesting than the current decoration...entering the parkway from Forest Hills gave a great view!
I must be gettin old. Only passed that so many times when I was a kid, and later too.
I still remember the vertical coal cars going up and down filling the blast furnace at J&L steel after the Bates street curve on the parkway before downtown.
My eye doctor was downtown, and after my appointment, my dad took me to the Toddle House for breakfast often.
The last time we went, after my eye surgery from being cross eyed, he asked me if I wanted to move to Michigan. I said sure. He asked why. "Cause I like that Motown music they have". He changed the radio station in his '61 Chevy wagon and the Supreme's were on.
