So, about 2 years ago now we replaced our hot tub down in Ogden (the old one got froze but good when an ice storm knocked the power out for 6 days while we were away in the UK for Christmas).  The new hot tub came equipped with a Jensen MS2013BT Marine radio.  One thing I was stunned at was how the radio could connect to a device like a smartphone using bluetooth and initally, I had been able to make my Dell Inspiron PC 'talk' to the Jensen radio.   Then something bad happened... I upgraded the PC to Windows 10 'cause it was 'free'.  I then found I had 2 printers that were no longer usable, an external backup system and drive that were now boat anchors and it has taken me a dog's age to get my wonderful Technics USB turntable to 'talk' to the PC once again.  This spring when we started up the hot tub, I found that the PC was no longer sending anything to the Jensen radio.  I went through the pairing, unlocking, connecting and disconnecting procedures described in the Jensen manual - it looks as if the PC has connected to the radio but I can't play music through the radio using a bluetooth signal.   The strangest thing is that using the radio controls, I can stop and start music or skip to the next or previous song in a playlist.   I've tried using Windows Media Player (which worked fine in Windows 8) and the new 'recommended' Groove Music for Windows 10. Neither worked.   I tried asking a help-bot at Microsoft if there was a known issue with Windows 10 and the Jensen bluetooth devices.  The answer I got? "Well, maybe you should buy a new hot tub"...  Whaaaa??  Boy that person heard some very choice metaphors, expressions, and exhortations...

Has anyone run into something like this?   I suspect there may be a driver that is out of whack, but also suspect there IS no Windows 10 driver....

Paul,

correct, windows ten has no driver for certain. Depending upon the age of the pc, it may have, or once have had an external sound card with an output jack, which you could then plug in a stereo mini plug cord with an rca type plug on the other end, which would match the pre amp input on your stereo. A boom box portable may also have a mini plug input, so you would need a double male end mini plug. A mini plug is like what used to be on a Walkman or other carry on the waist stereo.
Mine is from about 2012, came with windows 7 home premium, and has it. I don't use the output, because I have an Altec Lansing subwoofer and tweeter speaker system plugged into it. It even has a corded remote on/off and volume control.
There are other brands that sound excellent also.
My large home sound system is connected to my Bose Acoustimass 5 speaker system from the 90's.
I found a Sony separate system last year at a garage sale. Also from the 90's with 5.1 surround. I paid 5 bucks for it with no speakers, which I didn't need.
It works perfect. I'm not really into surround sound for movies, so I don't have it connected to a TV set with a center channel speaker.
