I just I just want to say thank you to all those people on this fantastic forum who have helped me along the way with this project. It appears to have been a complete success!

With the help and guidance of many knowledgeable people on this forum I went out and got great deals on a Maytag A612 washer and a Maytag LTE713 dryer. The dryer was a real find being that it came out of a ski cabin and only saw limited use for a few months a year its entire life. I have moved them both into my summer cabin where both appliances will only see light use 2 - 3 months a year.

Before installing them, I gave them a good cleaning inside and serviced them replacing belts on both machines and the inlet water valve on the washer. I had also purchased new rollers for the dryer and new damper pads for the washer but all of those parts were still in excellent condition so I just cleaned and lubed them up and put them back into service. The same is true of the dryer belt tensioner. All of the parts I didn't use have gone into storage for down the road some day when I need them. The attached photo shows the two side by side in their new home.

Thanks to all the help and advice I received from the generous folks on this forum, I now have a pair of excellent quality, durable machines that I can count on to work reliably for many years to come (so long as I properly winterize the washer every fall). Being that it's over 30 miles to the nearest town and so expensive to get anyone to come out and service anything here that means a lot and it's especially nice that I can sevice these machines myself whenever I need to.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me with this! :-)
