Sunbeam pest repeller

At a yard sale today, saw an item I hadn't seen or paid attention to. It was labeled Sunbeam Utrasonic Pest Repeller. Do these work? It was a tiny little thing about the size of a night light, had a night light on the bottom not sure if LED or incandescent, one side had a two prong outlet, other side had a rocker switch (I assume to either turn on the light or outlet).

It was just interesting to me as I have heard of pest repellers but never seen one with a night light and convenience outlet.

WOW! A Google Search pulls up a whole load of these things, still made and still for sale. There is even a little personal ultrasonic mosquito repeller.

Be careful though, if you accidentally flip the plug over when you plug it in, you will be over run with pests.
