Well, call me A.D.D. but that was a very long read. I also like the "wrong" men but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a perfect body or the ultimate muscle bear. Regular guys who are comfortable with who they are are the sexiest ones. Straight guys who feel no female (or male for that matter)would ever consider them attractive are the type of guy who strike me as the hottest.

With regard to ageism and bodyism, that is rampant no matter what sector of the gay scene it comes from. I find the profiles on Bigmusclebears.com are mainly buffed and beautiful pretty boys who don't subscribe to the original and all-inclusive bear community philosophy, many are so self-absorbed they'll never find a partner. Go to any bear convention and you'll find it's overrun with cliquey posers. That's not to say that if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't be a gym rat too. Alas, I was born too early to get caught up in the healthy side of the gay lifestyle.

I do, however average a cub type that I may be, get my share of action with men that others besides myself would consider hot and hunky. I can't complain at all about my sexcapades. And as I get older, I no longer limit myself to big men and bear types over 35. I have an appreciation for younger smooth men as long as they are grounded and experienced enough to be comfortable hopping into bed or a sling, although that's a hard combo to find in a guy around 30-35. Under 30 is more or less off limits due to inexperience and immaturity and not worth pursuing. I don't find skinny guys remotely attractive but to each his own. When I see a big bearish guy going after a twink, I feel bad that I'm not a contender for snagging him, but still understand that he likes what he likes, and that I am not it.

Interesting and provocative article.
