Tap cold water temperature

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I went on a kayak trip in the Allegheny river and the water actually seemed downright hot, about 82 degrees (which would be "tap cold". Could this be from global warming? It doesn't take long to cool off though, when the weather suddenly turns cool, one can see vapor rising off the river.

Hmmmm

I'd say about 80-85. At one time it was warm enough for the Kenmore to not open the "hot" valve when it was on warm which means it was about 90-95.

And here's a correction. The OASIS does start out with both valves open for "warm" and will cycle the hot water on and off if needed.

Our tap water is in the mid 70's right now, but it has cooled down a bit from last month when the water temp almost hit 80F.

I usually keep track of it, we should post this again in January and see the difference in different locations.

..........and that is why cold water washing is so succesfull for you. I wish our cold water was that temperature - I can't begin to calculate the savings!!!!

I've seen high as 87°F input registering on the tankless water heater. After the storage tank in the garage is purged and the line allll the way from front yard around to back of the house, fresh flow from the well likely is a bit cooler than that.

cold is WARM

I would agree with Jasonl, cold is plenty warm right now. So I will just use the cold right now. We have total electric so will conserve on the water heating electricity. Its been very HOT here and Still tossing towels over the patio furniture to cut down on the dryer juice. The air conditioning has been power Hungry this summer and that damn Katrina took our shade tree away. We have been lucky this summer so far so will continue to conserve, and hope September fly's by quick. alr2903

83°F @ 7:15 pm today. This is true temperature with the lines and storage tank purged from taking a shower.

BTW: for 101°F output, the tankless ran at 10% to 11% of capacity for 1.1 GPM flow rate.
