I need to tear apart the timer on my old Whirlpool SHU5001 dishwasher. It had been problematic, supposedly you push the knob in to set the cycle, then pull to start. The shaft must have been stripped, since it never engaged with the cams and did not rotate them.

A few weeks ago I put odds and ends in one night and went to bed only to wake the next day to it still running. It had always shut off after the cycle complete in the past. Did a search and the timer is NLA, and none are showing up on eBay, so I need to work on this myself.

I took a quick look back when I picked up the unit, it appears to have a one piece cam, and the timer motor was working. Any tips would be much appreciated, as the unit is in mint condition otherwise. It's just a second unit I use for cleaning junk, not really using it for dishes.
