The W/D search for the new house has been, oy, such a trial! I knew I wanted a NON he tl. So I set my sites on a MOL GE top loader set. Then that very cool Magic Chef portable came on the scene and there was no doubt that it was the one. Then I found the next to bol Hotpoints that were the bomb.
So, I marched into Lowes to buy the advertised HP. Well, not only were they not on sale but I had looked at the wrong ad. I left in a huff (really it was my Chevy Cruze but that's not dramatic for this story). Well, I got soooo pissed that I went back into Lowes and showed them:
I bought a discontinued Maytag TL MVWC425, that got terrible reviews and embodies every thing I didn't want and a Maytag MEDC215EW dryer that had a rebate.
That'll teach Lowes to screw with me, boy!

Lol. You sound like me now!! Too bad on the HP. There was something about their simplicity that drew me to them. Same for the dishwasher. :-/

I, of course downloaded the manuals even before the machines have come. Washer suggests using Downy Ball for softener. So, I popped over to Downy site to order one. The Downy site clearly says not to use in a HE TT. So, I emailed MT and Downy last Monday. No response from either yet.

You should have checked Sears out and gotten my Kenmore model the 28102. Last I checked it was on clearance for $499. It's an AWESOME washer. Has a FS dispenser too :(
