always bugged us, you know, how by the time one gets to the 2nd or 3rd piece of toast with the bacon & eggs it's stone cold. So what's needed is something one can cook that bread with in "real time" ie: faaaast! Feed it in while on that last bite of toast #1, and by the time you are ready for #2, it's ready for you! Here's how, and it works great for the gang of 8 too!

Looks like a similar system to what was in the cafeteria when I was at Cal Poly SLO, but on a smaller scale.

How I Hate That:

Really annoying when one gets cold toast. Glad you found a solution to the problem!

Conveyor toaster

Still commonly available for commercial applications.

I was intrigued when on holiday last autumn to see a toaster which worked on a turntable principle - the bread was placed on a wire turntable which slowly rotated between top and bottom elements. It took several full rotations before the bread was toasted

WE love it...

and love cool gizmos of all kinds, when they work, and this does! Got a good deal on a blem scratch & dent, cheaper than a commercial pop-up, we got so tired of buying new toasters every 3-4 years, this one can actually be serviced & repaired... a lifetime toaster one hopes (at my age it won't have to last too long)!

Nothing beats a conveyor belt for even browning. These things are great for toasted/heated sandwiches. Quiznos and other sandwich chains use them.

A Vintage GE Toaster Oven....

....Will keep toast warm without excessive drying. Mine gets turned to Warm (200 degrees F) after toasting, and that gets me through a breakfast with piping hot toast.

Holman Commercial Toasters...

Holman was an Extremly great line of toasters. They were bought out by Star Appliances in the early 2000.

The Man that developed the Holman line sold to Star. Although there was never a patten on that style of toaster, he was smart enough to sell to Star and One year later started Belleco Toasters.

So, Hollman/Belleco are the same machines although Holman was not pattened, but different manufacturers and practicly the same machines.

They do Crank out Gorgious Toast. The Best Vintage Toasters from the 40's and 50's actually through the 70s was a Gas Fired Toaster named "Savory".

Thanks for that history Eddie!

didn't know any of that - I only got it 'cause it was a screaming deal and I liked how it worked in the store, plus the regional Authorized repair station is right here in my town, in case a repair is ever needed. Got a commercial Deep Fryer as well... LOVE those deep fried crab cakes (being from Bawlamer Merlin) and tempura.
