Home now; I had a Great time. It was so cool to meet
everyone. What a Great group of guys. Thank you
Cal & and Jeff for an awesome meet and greet.
Thanks John for a super time at the museum, and
to all the cooks for the great food.

So much Cool stuff to see and information learned, my head is still processing. Lol.
Hope we can all get together again. Have safe travels all.
Thanks again for the fun.

Best Washes,
Louis / Luigi 😎

I will second that!

What an awesome weekend I had. It was great to meet everyone and share some great food. Hats off to Jeff and Cal, your house and gardens are amazing. John, Jason, Smitty, your work at the museum is nothing short of awe inspiring. For you all to have opened your homes and shop for us to explore and experience, I don't know how to thank you.
Hans, Kevin, Ralph, and many others that spent most of the weekend preparing the amazing amounts of GREAT Food, Thanks for all the hard work, can't wait to see the videos.
I am sure I have missed many that worked very hard to make the event run as smoothly as it did.
I hope everyone has a safe trip home.
Scott

A 'Third' From Me...

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

Unlike the two brave souls above, I won't even attempt to list all the names. Just a thank you to each and every one of you for all your work.

From arriving at the Meet & Greet to leaving the Museum everywhere I looked there was something more cool/unique/interesting than there'd been a minute before. As always there was a human encyclopedia at hand to answer every question in a way I could understand. And the food just kept getting better and better.

To invoke Louis/Luigi, it was a totally bitchin' sensory and information overload:-)

Thanks again to all,

Jim

Bitchin for sure...it was so good

I was excited to even be able to make an appearance worried that I may be lingering alone in a corner somewhere not knowing anyone. That was absolutely how it did NOT go. I met so many delightful people and all displaying open arms and many hugs. That silly little registration fee does not even begin to reflect the amount of planning and hard work that went into this weekend. 10 years is way too long for me to have not met you folks and seen your labors of love. I'm so impressed.

I'm heading home soon with a new energy for the continued restoration of my collection. Can't wait to be knee deep in a filter flo now. When Tony and I are settled in a new house I sincerely hope to fill it with guests who share this passion and many others. My house is your house.

Many regards,

Jons1077

I'll Fifth--AND SIXTH--that.

Jeff & Cals's oh-so-gracious hospitality was over-the-top world class, and their home, fascinating, a visual delight with every turn into each new nook or cranny, from the complex gardens with a secluded air-conditioned bedroom in it, to Cal's architectural room, and EGADS! Jeff's laundry with a working Neptune TL, the, one with the paddles. Jeff and Cal actually hosted two parties, a smaller early one on Thursday for the early birds who came to help either there or at the museum.Thursday's was a circus and we had a real howl. Cal's cooking was fabulous. No words of gratitude are up to the task for what those two guys did to make this convention happen.

When the 50 pound bags of onions were delivered at the museum's door on Thursday, I knew something BIG was going to happen in that dazzling kitchen of Jon's. The variety of delights coming out of there rivaled Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory--HONEST. A big fave were the platters of meatloaf, as festive and eye-catching as a crown roast of pork, with green pepper rings and cherry tomatoes; too many cakes to list, the lemon pound with caramel frosting and the double chocolate pound, outstanding. It was truly Christmas in July. Late in the night I had the best piece of coconut cream pie I've ever eaten. Dynaflow said it was his gram's or aunt's and promised the recipe. The 17 casseroles were all tasty surprises. A foodaholic, one did not stop eating!

Seeing the faces that go with names we've seen for 10 years was too much fun: warmsecondrinse, washoholiic, newvista, philcoford, Jerry Gay, Martin, Phil, Big Al, jons1077, Joel, Jason and Matt and on and on --you knew everyone, and some whose faces we've seen for years, look exactly like they do in old pix from here. Kevin, the cook and Pete, Peteski--it was as if I had just seen them yesterday. Everybody was happy to meet everybody.

If any of you have seen Kevin's and Ralph's food videos, you won't be surprised to learn the they both worked for Detroit radio stations, and Ralph talked on NPR. Loved hearing that.

As for the washers and Jon's biblical museum, I'll have to come back later, but for now, the Yellow Maytag Combo is as big as a stove, the Calpyso in action is both stunning and unforgettable, And Jon's 1-18 at home in his basement is one of the most impressive machines I've ever seen, in both the way it looks and behaves. A powerhouse!

I hope and resolve never to miss another wash-in.

Awsome Washin!!

I want to thank our hosts John, Cal & Jeff for making this event very possible. It was really great to get together with friends I have not seen in a long time. And was very nice to meet new people also. To myself it is a wonder to be around people that have the same interests to share and I always walk away with such a great feeling. I Wish we could have a washin weekly.
I also want to thank the guys that spent all that time in the kitchen doing all that wonderful cooking. Everything tasted out of this world.
I hope to be in touch with all!
Best Wishes
Peter

I could'nt agree!

Without repeating all the comments I wish to add my humble thanks and gratitude. I got to see Martin (yogitunes) and Jerry(Moparwash) now I have met so many new friends. Let us not forget our new friends from Australia who made the trip. Kudos to the spouses who came and joined in the spirit of things.

A big Hug and Thanks again.

Willy Wonka & 50lb. Bag Of Onions

Thank you for the reminder. I want to put on record (because I'll need a reminder) that I volunteer to be a kitchen minion for future wash-ins. I know I mentioned that to someone (Donald?) and ran across a few guys who made similar comments. The culinary geniuses who created the weekend's on-going foodgasm should NOT be carrying and fetching.

I felt like I was doing a very slow motion version of a kid in a candy store running (Oooooooh! What is THAT?) from one thing to the next because something was constantly distracting me. Apologies if I behaved strangely or impolitely. And I totally want a portable garbage disposal!

Another comment I heard repeatedly, made with a somewhat shell-shocked tone of voice: "Oh my god... I could spend DAYS in here..."

Thanks again to all who made this weekend possible.

Jim

Absolutely great weekend!

Another thanks echoing what others have said... a really great weekend possible through a lot of work by John, Jason, Cal, Jeff, Hans, Donald, Kevin, Ralph, and others... their home, the appliance warehouse museum, and the food were all GREAT! And thanks also to Robert, who brings us all together through his work making the web site work and thrive! It was great to meet people in person and get to talk appliances and collections!
