In the days I had to wash dishes by hand-just used a regular dishrack-unheated-they dried just fine.No dishrags required.

Devices similar to this

are popular in Japan, because of the limited amount of domestic hot water in many peoples' homes. However, the Japanese ones are all usually covered.

Being honest & practical, it really seems pointless. Regular draining racks work well enough, even if they take time.

I also used air dry setting on dishwashers back when I had them available, and figure I'll probably do the same when I have one available again (oh, please make it soon, appliance gods!).

Although, a part of me would like this electric drying rack. If it turned up dirt cheap at Goodwill, I might get it for novelty value.
