If you've ever walked down a Sears laundry isle, you'll notice that the different series of top loaders or now labeled x00 instead of x0. Now we have 400 (BOL), 500, 600, 700, and the all mighty modern day version of my dream machine, the 800. This is now the TOL of the regular top loaders. The "Elite" name goes on the F/L's and Oasis. The cycle timer on the 800 closely matches the original. Presoak, Prewash, Ultra-Clean (which is the new Normal), PP, and Delicate. The other knobs on the control give you a wide variety of choices like water temp, variable level, a 2nd rinse switch (true to the original).

Open the lid and you'll see a bleach dispenser and a FS dispenser on the agitator.

Well that is a step in the right direction for you Jason, but I'm guessing, it's just not the same.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that the real thing appears soon.

And THAT belt-driven automatic had a production run of almost 40 years! That's alot of grind-click-clunk!

Kenmore: The VW Beetle of appliances. It wasn't the fastest thing in the laundry room but they sold millions of 'em.

Jason, odn't you remember seeing that model photographed when Austin, Glenn, and Venus met Jamie & his mom in Houston this summer and htey went to the Great Indoors? Not to be splitting hairs, but I wouldn't consider something TOL if it had an agitator-mounted FS dispenser. That's just not the Sears way for TOL lol.
