All new adverts are shown for a month and then removed from the “New TV Adverts” Playlist”. Don’t worry, all won’t be lost, as all new adverts are placed in there categories. </span>

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">I would like to mention that not all "New Adverts" have been uploaded. I yet to add another 24 clips through out the week. Meanwhile I have uploaded some fab ads, many of them being Persil, dating back from the early 50s & 60s onwards. Watch out for the classic 90s Ad for Persil Micro [The Musical] which I totally forgot about and brought back some memories. </span>

Thanks again Hass for all your hard work. Am currently watching all the Persil commercials wishing Persil liquid still smelled the same as when it first came out!

... you do not know how much these adverts have changed my life! I see all these wonderful adverts, which remind me of machines family members had and we had, and has then made me learn more about these machines!

Oh and remember, ask 30 washing machine manufactures which machine they reccomend and you'll get 30 different answers...

I'm really pleased to hear your both are still tuning in, which make's me happy. Appreciate your support as always, it's part of the service and will keeping on finding adverts hopefully in years to come...lol.

Paul not sure what Persil smelt like when it first came out, as it was before my time, but I did love the smell during the 80s. I remember the smell being soft and gentle and my mother was a big persil fan...
Jacob most of these adverts would of been before your time so glad it's been a bit of a education and a learning curve for you.

Hello everyone, just a quick post to let you all know that the long awaited TV programme's have now been uploaded on The Laundry Lab. You can find them under the TV Programme Playlist, these include:

Business Nightmares [Hoover's Free Flights Fiasco]

A BBC programme about Business Nightmares presented by Evan Davis. In this clip we follow the story when Hoover decided to offer free flights abroad with every purchase, its appliances became the wedding gift of choice and the company was overwhelmed by demand it couldn't meet.

With a full-scale customer revolt and multimillion-pound losses, the European branch of Hoover was eventually sold and its British factories closed.

Hoover - Red Letter Day

When Hoover needed to shift their washing machines and cleaners their marketing people came up with a sales promotion, buy a Hoover appliance and get two return free flights. The scheme marked a red letter day for the company, August 1 1992, as it was a runaway success with goods flying out of the shops. But Hoover was left to count the cost of the worst marketing promotion ever and there were dire results. When Hoover sneezed Merthyr caught cold, MP of the time Ted Rowlands said. This is the story of Hoover in Merthyr.
