The moon has a new face!

Indesit have launched a new range on the quiet as the hotpoint range is the focus point this year. It inludes 7kg models & the a new addition to the moon family the white & black moon!

There new brochure design is cool too it has some hotpoint-esque photos in it!

Argghh another washer where I can't see what's going on! What a nightmare. I hope these things don't become too common.

Finally, how are you meant to run a service wash to clear out all the muck if there's no 95c cycle? Maybe Indesit think their machines won't last long enough for this to become necessary.

I have to agree. There should be like a combination of buttons to run a maintainance wash. Those moons intregue me. However i couldn't bear to own a machine i couldn't see in. Same with decor panel mieles, i love the look as they remind me of my quartz, but why should one miss out on all those fantastic cycles It's a shame really as in tests they aren't doing to bad.

I saw one of the "7kg" indesits when i went to the customer centre at peterborough. the drums really didn't look any different as the WIL models that have been going for the last few years.

My in-laws own a WIL163, which i used for two weeks while we house sat. One of the reasons i bought my hotpoint was because the cycles were pretty cool & the fast wash had collosal water levels as i've posted a piccie of. However my hotpoint doesn't use as much water. It has just had a new PCB 2months ago.

There dryer also an indesit has just broken and they are having an extension, from what my mother-in-law was saying she was looking at a bosch & a hotpoint package on tesco online.

Darren that's one reason i'm running an Indesit at the mo as the cycles really are alot of fun with four different wash rythems and lots of noise lol though my WE12 has low water levels and having run a few modern Indesits I was suprised it is so low. I might hafta to do sumtyhing about it lol. I pesonally would hate to own a Moon as no door glass equals one dissapointed steve!

Id love to have a moon that had more options like time length, variable spin, temp etc aswell as that a clear glass door with a clear plastic dispenser in the door so we can see the water!

Steve!-Have to agree the varying speeds and water levels are really good! Its the dang balancing that bothers me. Though my hotpoint has been rectified now. if it does fall it isnt for too long.

I used my girlfriends nan's wd12 at their caravan in skeg! I liked the distributions during the wash, but was surprized at the low rinsing, though the final rinse was higher.

dyson2drums! have to agree. I thought they should have applied the dispenser that is in the extendia in the moon, if they wanted the coloured door they could have used opaque coloured plastic like the electrolux's of old!

There like a taboo, i like the looks of them and stuff but i wouldn't want to own one. I do like that it has a rinse sensor though. I should think they use a fair bit of water in that slim indesit drum as it uses 65litres for cottons & my girlfriends parents WIL163 had quite high cotton rinses!

The extendia dispenser is everything but hygienic, as the cover is NOT water-tight. The moons have NO cover on their dispenser.

Sometimes may happen we 've to wash rather odd stuff :
clothes we wore while oversudsing after a wine/beer full fill ... granny' s waterstop has gone out of order while sleeping ... little son has stomach flue and he doesn't run so fast yet ..

Dirty washing water can easily reach the fabric softener dispenser (technically that 's called cross-contamination)

I' m not saying all washers should be barrier-type (double door) as in hospital laundries but ......
