And a happy birthday to me!

In the prior couple of sewing threads I had mentioned the possibility of a new machine and the birthday fairy came through. A new Babylock Esante. I can finally do larger embroideries and am no longer limited to the 4x4 size. If you look close at the picture, the embroidery counter reads zeros.

Right now I have her testing out a design I digitized for my niece's birthday. My niece did a couple of crayon drawings when she was about 5 years old for me. Now my niece has little ones, so I took her drawings, digitized them for embroidery and will make up a couple of tee shirts for her kids. Heck with this new machine I might be inspired to make a quilt.

With limited room though the Viking #1+ does need to find a new home. I will be selling the machine shortly. It's it great shape and does embroider 4x4 designs as well as a sewing machine. If anybody here is interested, drop me an email and I'll give you more information. It will also come with a lot of extra Viking feet.

Nice!

I have the Brother equivalent. The Innovis 4000.

The embroidery arm attachment is nearly identical. Mine came with several different sized hoops. The biggest being 11x7.

It may take you a little while to get used to the machine and all the bells and whistles. You will enjoy this machine thoroughly. The possibilities will be endless.

Thanks!

For the birthday wishes! And the compliment on the new machine.

Tim, this one is two steps down from the Babylock equivalent of your machine, the Elegante. I don't have the cool pushbutton threading. On mine you thread it, then push a lever on side of the machine. Also it's a black and white screen. I get all my embroidery set up first on the computer, so I didn't see the need to get the color screen. It will also go up to a 6 x 10 hoop. There is a company called Hoop It All and they make all sorts of different size accessory hoops for machines.

I will say, much as I love the Viking, I am amazed at the speed and smoothness of this machine.
