I went to Tucson with a lot on my mind. My chemo was postponed with the chance it could mean the treatment backfired due to falling counts. My grandaughter was scheduled to have heart surgery this week when she turned 4 months. My dearest friend died thursday evening and I felt torn, not being in Seattle to be with his partner.
Tuesday, when Sara took Audrey to the Pediatric Heart Speacialist and they were performing tests, the doctor was wide eyed and said their was still evidence of Pulmonary Stenosis, but instead of progressing as expected it was reversing. I know the intentions put in place by myself, Steve and Gary set healing in motion.
I went to the Oncologist this morning. He asked what I had been doing since the past visit. I told him about the trip to Tucson. He thought it might be STTP but didn't advise using internally. My hematocrit had risen from 28 to 40 and the white count from 790 to 4,000. He told to come up with a plan for the next 25 years because this was evidence the treatment is working. It was potent and not always comfortable, but it is enough to cause the luekemia to go into remission, the tumors have shrunk and the bone cancer markers have gone down.
No more playing the sympathy card. It's time to plan a future and perhaps go on a diet or take posing lessons for the camera.

Togglary and Gadgetswitches, I love you more than ever.

Kelly!!! :-)

This is such GREAT news!!! You're a positive person with positive energy....how could it NOT work for you!

I'm sure that this has made you appreciate every day as though it were your last. This is how EVERYONE should live. Enjoy the moment!!

Dont read this if you are sensitive.

At the risk of being inappropriate (looks around, who said that?) I picked up this icon in Sedona, AZ in the Church of the Holy Cross for you Mr. Kelly.

I have a weakness for Mother Mary that I can't really describe. But let me try.

As a newborn my system would not tolerate baby formula. In those days the prevailing attitude was that breast-feeding was too "animalistic" and turd-world. Anyhoo I nearly died of malnutrition and starvation. Apparently the proteins are too large for an infant to digest and the compostion of formulas at that time was "garbage."

Anyhoo...an amulet was placed on me as a child that is said to be a splinter of the actual cross of J.C. Much praying done. Health returned.

So, dear Kelly, this icon will be sent to you via snail-mail so that our loving mother may protect you under her cloak as she did for me over 45 years ago.

Newton's law of thermo-dynamics:
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it merely chages its form. So it is with love. Love never ends. It's all about love.

Wow!!!

Kelly,

I had absolutely no idea so I would hardly say you've been playing your sympathy cards. You looked perfectly fine to me so I had no idea. And you were as sweet as ever to boot and that was all in the first few minutes of meeting you! Personally, you showed us what you do with whites. I think the bleach is killing it. :-)

Love ya!

Jon

Well that is good news Kelly. Now just make sure you look both ways before you cross the street for the next 25 years cause if you go get run over by a bus and killed we're gonna have to come shoot you. LOL

btw there's the buns of Venus in a pic again, they're everywhere.

Love Sonnet

It was nice to have you to buddy up with, Jon. I felt the same about you. Jeff, thanks for the pictures and for the tender friendship that has formed on line. Terry, I am such a ditz! It wasn't until I was home and saw your post that I realized you were my Secret Santa! I was introduced to Gregg and thought, that's nice. Then about an hour later I found out he was the great and terrible Gansky! Then Rich, golittlesport arrived and that was who I thought Gansky was. I was amazed to find out Nate was so young. I assumed and expected him to be older. Roger drove me back to Oro Valley, Friday night and I managed to turn my camera case upside down, realizing the next morning all the contents but the camera were missing. We looked under the seat and beside the door in his truck the next day and there were the missing batteries, the charger and the adapter to download the pictures. What a doddering old fool I can be! Roger was so patient and quietly sat as we destructed his domicille and put his machines through paces I never considered. My one and only discourse with Robert was over the Thor. "Isn't it overloaded," I asked as the clothes drug back and forth through the water and the motor chugged. "No," was his his wordy reply. A real highlight for me was to meet Bobload. The man's mind is amazing and he's a cracker dishwasher loader to boot. It took me a while to get people together with their screen names and at least 30 percent of the crowd I never met. Next time I will know the terms of engagement and look forward to the simple pleasures of man and his/her machines. And food of course, you can never have too much homemade dessert.
