Good oven for sure, but troublesome clock etc. Unfortunately not Self-Cleaning, also watch out for door hinges and the cables that operated the door springs, both of these items were the weak area on these ovens.
Is a little later and the much better Self-Cleaning-Vented to the outside TD Oven, TD made a huge leap forward when they came out with SCOs, even if you never used the SC feature these were much better ovens all around.
Have always wondered why so many sitcoms filmed in CA
During the 1970's such as the Brady Bunch and Bewitched had electric ranges.
My immediate thought was these being sets/soundstages electric is easier to wire in rather than piping gas. But it isn't as if Sam or Alice actually cooked anything, or did they?
My Uncle Kenneth and Autn Margaret lived in the L.A. area from the late 60's until the early 80's, except for a brief time in Hawaii during '75 & '76. I remember the first house (visited in "72) had a GE electric range (Avocado) with the pushbutton controls. Didn't ever get to the second house, so don't know what it had.
