Hi all, we are in the market for a new stove as we just bought a new house, and the present stove is beyond saving. So to all out there who is rather knowledgeable regarding cooking and baking, what must we get? A thermofan, fan assisted, or conventional oven.

Then also regular ceran top or gas top. Be advised that we don't have natural gas and it must be connected to a propane bottle/canister, we are rather skittish regarding gas, but are open to your expert opinions. Miele has some nice stoves as well as Bosch and Smeg.

I appreciate all inputs.

Regards

If you get a SMEG oven/cooker with fan forced function and pyrolitic cleaning you won't be disappointed! I love mine and the oven bakes so evenly that you can't distinguish the top from the bottom of an eclair cooked in there. They're the best ovens I've ever used!

Also if you don't have piped gas I'd look for an induction cooktop

Yeah, have you considered induction or doesn't your electrical service have the capacity? You could even look into a cooktop (hob) with two resistance and two induction units. You would have the speed and instant response of the induction to get things started and then the two electric radiant units to finish cooking if you need more than two units and all under one smooth glass top.
