The antithesis of the Lo Liner

Wow -- really spacious, in nice shape, and not a bad deal in the "tiny house" context -- if the roof doesn't leak.

At first I thought it was a custom piggy-back chop job, but it sounds like this was a legit model.

An instant getaway for sure if someone has some land to park it on.

Wonder what owners would have used to pull one of these houses on wheels back in 1956?

The largest engine in a domestic car that year was Packard's 374 cubic inches, and it would have taken all of that to get across the Rockies I would think. 9100 pounds according to one of the ads.

Still, you never know.

Over a certain size, even back then, professional towing would have been required.

In "The Long, Long Trailer", Nicky and Taizee (sp) pulled their New Moon with a Mercury. However, in some of the shots they actually substituted a Lincoln for pulling the trailer. I'm thinking "the" trailer was something like 40 feet, and was a one-bedroom.

When I was a kid an aunt and uncle of mine were trailerites and they had a 40-something-feet long 2 bedroom coach. They might have pulled it themselves but I don't think they did, even after they bought a 1955 Buick Special.
