Ad: " This is a 1961 General Electric, 3.2 AMP, Model # BH18PF2, Refrigerator. I don't know if it runs, I got it to use for a display piece at our store. Yellow on the outside, pink on the inside! The metal shelves are 'Lazy Susan' style! Has a step-peddle at bottom front, to open up top front door 'hands-free'. The bottom drawer is a drop-in freezer basket. The inside is in pretty great condition. The outside sides has some discoloration and/or paint loss from storage over the years (maybe kept in a garage and/or being moved around).
It's too nice to be scrapped, great RETRO piece, should be restored and treasured (retro kitchen, chic store, appliance refubrisher)...they don't make them like this anymore. "

The pink liner indicates 1957.

All one has to do is plug it in and turn it on to determine whether or not it runs/cools, so the ad copy is B.S.  If it was obtained with the intention of having it function as a display case, that was probably because it wasn't in running condition.
