This thread has dropped off the active list. Did anyone buy this or find out anymore about it? Someone wanted the 52 automatic. Did anyone get either machine? Was the price too high? Many of us would like to know the resolution of this opportunity to acquire a treasure. Thank you.

Both of these were scooped up by a new member in Michigan, I believe he's supposed to pick them up this weekend.

Headed to Michigan

Mission accomplished .... Almost :)!

The 2 babes are officially headed North! Will be on I75 chugging home in 5 minutes. Oh happy day!

Updated Status!

Hi Guys,

I just got more to Michigan ... and the 2 machines from Atlanta (59/60 LK combo and the 52 Kenmore automatic) are safe in my best friends garage in Southern Indiana ... alongside the undetermined 54-56 WP Supreme in my avatar pic. All 3 machines will head to my place in Michigan in early March once the weather clears a bit and I can prepare a spot for them =). I did bring home the literature for both of the Atlanta machines ... and I will try to scan and post some of that fun stuff. The purchase receipt from the 52 is wonderful! The 52 also turned out to be a sudsaver (I was quite pleased). Both are in great cosmetic shape and I'm told are in working order. I can barely wait to get the 52 home and do a hot n' frothy suds return.

Loved her!!!

Hi Lawrence,
Yes she was quite a nice lady ... and someone I'll probably surprise with a birthday card or note every once in awhile. I told all about the AW site ... and she was really happy that she decided to try and sell the machines rather than have them hauled away. She moved into her parents house after they passed, and has been sorting out stuff for awhile. Very sweet southern hospitality ... I'm gonna call her in a bit and let her know I'm home safe.

Scott, glad you and the machines are safely at your destinations. Southerners, you gotta love us. We are polite and gracious up until the point where we kill you, IF we have the manners that come with having been reared properly (you raise crops and rear children). I learned this distinction from my 6th grade English teacher. This usage is not found in northern dictionaries.

Tom -

We musn't forget to mention that just prior to the start of the killin' (after being overly polite and gracious), there is the obligatory "Bless his heart" proclamation!! Then it's on after that...
