This thread from years ago dealt with raising the water level in a Speed Queen front load washing machine, I am wanting to do the same with my SQ top load machine, model number LWN432SP115TWO1 which has a fixed water fill level for both wash and rinse modes.

The water level pressure switch shown in the thread looks to be exactly the same as what is installed in my machine, I'm hoping to raise the level by 2.5 inches or so from what it is now, the thread mentions 2 adjustment points in particular.

Has anyone attempted this before with a top loader?

The attached image shows where to present level is now, referenced to the top of the painter's tape.

As a precaution I will have a new switch on hand as a replacement, just in case...
