The timer on my Maytag ADE309 dryer bit the dust. It's got bits rattling around in it and it spins freely. I'm not finding a number that correlates to a part number.

I don't think the above part# is correct, I pulled it from the internet and it looks goofy. Oddly enough, my quick reference guide does not have a 309 in it. If no one replies with the correct part#, I'll dig out the microfiche reader and slides.

Found the proper timer.

Part# 305020

A quick glance on the internet isn't showing anything. I have some timers in my stash, I'll check them tomorrow.

1978. Maytag dryer timer.

Most times the replacement timer will be a Mallory timer, those Robert Shaw timers were just junk, it’s amazing. It lasted this long.

It was the crappy components that Maytag had to buy from other companies that often ruined their machines, better companies like GE and Whirlpool never used Robert Shaw junk.

If Dan can’t find you a timer repost and I can do a search and see if we have a replacement. Because Maytag stop supplying this part and it was often needed supplies of new ones dried up along time ago because there was a lot of demand for this part.
