Hello timer experts!...for the 1960 Westinghouse Dryer..International Register WB-1370 2.5W, 10 tooth gear. The newer replacements have either 8 or 12 teeth..go figure!

Can you remove this gear?
Press on the new timer?
A watch repair kit, for bands and backs, has a small enough puller to use on that nylon gear.

Just yesterday I got the gear off and ordered another timer that looks like it, but with a 12 tooth gear...hope it works!
