I learned this tip from a colleague...
Have you ever been to a sale and seen a REALLY old Seal-A-Meal for sale? Did you say "ICK! I'd NEVER put my food in that thing!"
Well, consider buying it anyway.
It's really handy to seal up your small parts.
For example, the other day I disassembled an old dinette in the basement. What to do with the screws? I sealed them into little packets and wire-tied them to the legs. Those old, yellowed Seal-A-Meal bags are actually quite durable. You can cut them into little packets. You can easily see through them. I use mine quite a bit for partial repairs especially for things that have small, fragmentary parts that could easily get lost.
Was at a flea-market the other day and bought several boxes of old Dazey seal bags cheap.
Soooo, if you're a millionaire you can buy new sealer bags, or if you're thrifty you can buy that nifty sealer for a buck-fifty.
