Kind of funny to see a control panel on that Kenmore DW. It was all decoration wasnt it? And it struck me that if one chose to pay for it at $13/month it would have taken almost two years to pay it off. I assume Sears charged interest?

Yes, Sears definitely charged interest to the tune of 21% in states that allowed it.
