Repair-Man is right--I tried to tell Sacto about this the last time a similar washer was on fleabay. Cycle Modifier didn't appear until cost cutting measures of the 1979 or 1980. Before that, totally separate knobs for each function. I'm stumped about whether this is ex-large capacity or not given high isn't ex-hi waterlevel. Our 1975 Series 70 had ex-lo, med, & ex-hi. And yes Toggle, when this uni-face look came out and took all the cycle buttons away, I thought, why have the auto water temp setting on the water temp knob--just a worthless gimmick. Again, cost-cutting.
That dryer is the harvest gold version of m y 1978 GE dryer in white--also had the matching washer. The control panel colors are exactly like mine. However, my Perm Press/Poly Knits button didn't have the "Special" designator for drying temp, it said high-heat. So, this could have been a 1979 model. A year or two afer I bought mine, the same button for auto cycle dry specifically stated medium heat. I flet cheated until I got my 1986 LK with variable temp knob--I would have preferred a medium temp setting on the GE, but nooo, they didn't listen to me!!
