Can anyone tell me about these? Were they good performers? Worth restoring?

Reasonable performers, small capacity, they need a short clear vent to work well, otherwise they just cycle on the Hi-Limit thromostat and present a fire risk.
The electronic control system was a major problem area and only gave the option of two dryness levels [ PP dried a little drier and most owners just used PP all the time ] You also have a Damp-Dry setting useful for ironing or for very delicate loads where you didn't want the clothing to get too hot since there is only one heat level on these dryers which is HOT by today's standards.
Overall a fun vintage dryer, and one of the few dryers ever built where the electric models were faster than the gas models.

By far the best dryer I ever owned. Easy to use, quiet and fast. Of course, it has to be paired with a Maytag washer since their tubs were smaller than average, and per Maytag's user guide, "A washer load equals a dryer load."
My dryer was gas. It replaced a lesser model Maytag that was electric. In my case, the gas dryer was remarkably faster in getting the job done. It had a load of towels done in half the time it took the electric one.

I just acquired a similar dryer, in Harvest Gold. I may pair it with an oddball Harvest 806 washer I have.
