Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

At the 204 VCCC convention we watched a DVD that Showed some vacuum scenes from movies and TV shows. One was on Dennis The Menace, appeantly he had clooged it up with leaves and they had a repairman come and look at it. When he left with the vacuum to take it to the shop, he made a comment about how he hated to see nice machines abused. this was a GE Roll Easy

BTW We watched this DVD in Fred Nelson's living room.

Raymond

Raymond's mother Marie had an old black Hoover in her living room like she had just been vacuuming. It's the only other episode with a vacuum that I know of except the Rainbow saga. Tim

About Green Acres....

Yes I remember that episode....BUT,

In the original first season, there was plainly a Kirby Sanitronic in her kitchen or possibly earlier like a 562. It was the episode where the house still has no electricity, and Oliver rigged up this OLD OLD Dear Jeesus old powerplant to the house. And during it Lisa keeps blowing cicuits to this machine becasue she doesnt follow his directions as to too many things overloading this generator thing.

He even puts up a chart on the kitchen wall saying that she can never go over the number 10 at one time. And thru the episode she continuously does this. This is also the episode where you can see ALL of her applainces...and some that never made it to the following shows/ or season like a matched washer and dryer that were far right beside a counter of some sort. Not to mention the Maytag Combo that was laongside the stove. She also had a dishwasher, and a whole BUNCH of other stuff.

Problem being...that their refrigerator, which was a six....NEVER needed to be plugged in all of the time. Uh isn't that nasty?

I think that later they actually GOt power but not after many slapschtick episodes went by trying to actuall get it to the house or something...

Mother Nature

"That buyer is the actress that played "Mother Nature" in the Parkay Margaine commercials. "

It was for Chiffon margarine, not Parkay

Green Acres

They never got electricity in the house other than from Mr. Haney's beat-up generator, and the telephone never made it off the phone pole

About Green Acres...and all!!!

Yeah,

So I was never a big Green Acres Fan, however I purchased the complete first season on DVD for like super cheap and couldn't pass it up. Anyways, I just saw the episode of where Lisa keeps overloading the "haney Generator" and during the episode showing ALL of the appliances crammed into her small country kitchen.

Yesterday in a moment of boredom, I watched a few more episodes...and one in particular stuck out...where Oliver purchases a derelict old tractor from Haney called a Hoyt Clagwell or some such thing..that thru the episode consistently breaks down.

In all the Lincoln Convertible the Oliver drives makes the entire sitcom worth watching. Yeesh..imagine driving around in a 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible....I would put up with a farm for one of those!

Anyway, I saw a rerun of the old sitcom Alf. And in that episode you see Alf running scared of the mom's Royal Upright. The old Deep blue bag model.

And on Different Strokes, you see Adelaide plainly using a Electrolux Super J with the BEAUTIOUS Chrome Powerhead over by the grand staircase as Willis and Arnold argue over something. The machine get's alot of on stage buisness at leas three to five minutes worth of her turning it on and off to overhear their conversations so she could rat them out to Mr Drummond. I never liked Adelaide....I loved Mrs. Garrett tho.

Anyways...

Don't Remember

I don't remember the Electrolux on Different Strokes. That show doesn't come on anymore, so I'll have to wait to see it I guess. Tim
