Read the link and tought it was interesting, just kind of "tired" of TTs at the moment! *LOL* Well at least until I get mine in tip top condition.
Don't know if it is the high cost of Internet service, but many Euro forums do not have half the chatter like we do here.

IMHO-
Americans do banter, non-political.
Others like their politics well re-hashed.
and again just my opinion..
English, BTW tends to be more technical and mechanical oriented, other languages (especailly Romance languages) tend to be beter at describing people/life/emotions, etc.
...and just to be slightly evil, (*LOL*) Just LOOK at our president. What can we possibly say about politics? LOL
