We bought a Cuisinart Griddle/Grill last summer at Nebraska Furniture Mart on a killer sale. It is the most versatile and easiest to clean grill I have ever had. Each side can be individually adjusted and the plates give you the option of griddling, grilling or both. Tonight, pork loin chops and potato pancakes. One side grill set for 425 and one side grill set for 365. No smoke, no mess and the grids wipe clean.

Kelly they sure look good! Glad to hear that it is easy to clean. I have an electric TFal grill that I love but hate to clean. LOL

Here you go Kelly, I had to get batteries for the camera. I really do love this grill, perfect size for one or two servings but oh my what a chore to clean. As you can see some of the coating is wore off. Wonder if it would help if I seasoned it like you do a cast iron skillet??

The French Revolution

If IRC T-Fal was a French product in it's early introduction to the US. I would throw the T-Fal grid in the dishwasher and call whatever is left, Patina. Seasoning would be lost as the high heat of the element would carbonize the oil. A tich of Pam might help. The Cuisinart is easier to clean because there are no openings in the grid like you would expect from a broiler tray. So far I have simply wiped them with paper towels but the grids are dishwasher safe. Thank you Terry for going the extra mile. You're a peach!

Oh Kelly you are so welcomed. When it started to get so bad I decided what the heck and did put it in the dishwasher. I didn't realize how bad it looked until I took the picture.LOL I do use Pam and it helps some. I think you are right, I am just going to learn to live with its patina!!

I've got the Cuisinart Grill/Panini maker with the removable grids and like it a lot. Use it all winter when I don't want to go outside to grill. I usually put the grates in the DW but they rarely come clean. After about a year and a half of moderate use the noon-stick coating has worn off. I've never scrubbed them so I can't blame that for the loss, don't use utensils on it either. I think it's just a poor grade of coating, I plan on complaining to Cuisinart, I paid over $100 for it expecting better.

Terry

I had that same TFal grill years ago. Although is worked pretty well, there was quite a bit of 'spatter' on the counters and a lot of smoke when cooking(burgers, sausages). The product called for water in the bottom, but, that did not cut down on the smoke.
I do not have a vent to the outside in my kitchen.
I gave it away for that reason.

I agree Gary, it does seem to spatter a lot. I haven't noticed that there was much smoke while grilling though. This may be because I never use it indoors. I grill on the lanai. It does seem to brown about as well as a gas grill IMHO.
