Well I turned 18 last Saturday and I went and reclaimed two 70's fluorescent tube fittings to install in the wash house to replace the single incandescent light bulb with. They are British made (of course!) and one is 5ft and the other is 4ft. I can remember the name of the British company that made them. They both needed new bulbs and starters just. Each fitting is slightly different internally due to their length, the 5ft fitting has two ballasts whereas the 4ft has one, therefore they have their own unique starting characteristics My Uncle installed them and took out the incandescent light fitting along with the wiring and wired these two up. I am so far loving the change and it makes such a difference in the wash house. The ambience the create too as they hum and flash when starting up. I truly feel back in the 70s!

James.
