I was in my local supermarket recently and spied what I thought was an oddly shaped bottle of Finish rinse aid: the lid looked at odds compared to the bottle - and the bottle looked more triangular compared the previous bottle design.

On closer inspection, the previous 500ml bottle has now been replaced by 400ml. The label makes reference to 'shine & dry', and shows a set of fan blades (similar to the turbo-dry stuff they had last year).

The liquid is still thin, ordinary rinse-aid, so it is obviously a marketing ploy. Same price as the old 500ml version.

Just checked the bottle under my sink that I bought way over 12 months ago and it too is 400ml.

Dont use that much, have the dispenser set on number 1 and a bottle lasts ages with results still great. Not noticed any difference since it was set on number 3.

One thing I noticed today was that Fairy liquid has down sized again.

Used to get 500ml bottles which dropped to 450ml but now they are 436mls IIRC. Odd amount it seems. I wonder how many consumers have realised.

Just glad I have a stock of Retro Fairy 50th bottles that seem to be a more watery consistency and different in formula to the Original in the clear bottles. Seems to last longer,

400ml.......

Hey Calum

The Turbo Dry version I brought several of for £1 each from Poundland last year is also 400ml so id suggest its been the case for a while??.

Know what you mean about the Retro Fairy, we are working our way through a dozen I brought from Morrisons for 50p each. We are alternating with the Apple standard version and it is better- mind you it only gets used on the things that dont go in the Miele so its not used that much lol :).
