Hey Guys

Beautiful Hotpoint dishwasher from 83 you have there. I never really new what dishwashers Hotpoint did before the late 80's. I remember seeing a pic of the Liberator one but that's all I new of.

Interesting how like the early top loaders the dishwasher has 2 dials with one for the programme and one for temperature.

Fabulous!

Forgot to say that we had a Hotpoint dishwasher simlar to your late 80's one when we were in our old house. It was before we got the Zanussi one from the late 80's. Originally Andrew had the Hoover Crysteljet which he got when his last relationship finished. Anyway that never worked properly as the bottom wash arm would hit the door and sometimes stick. Also the timer would stop advancing every now and then.
We then got the hotpoint from the local junkyard. It was replaced with the Zanussi when it started leaking. It was almond.

I have attached a pic of our old Hotpoint 1400 and you can see part of the dishwasher. It's the only pic I have where you can see it properly.

My folks had the BOL Hotpoint dishwasher from 1989. The machine lasted for about 15 years or so! It got put on after every dinner and it fell into my good hands to unload it before I went to School. This is why we got a Bosch dishwasher since the racks have not really changed a great deal.

I think the model number for my dishwasher was 7821. It had three programs: Super wash 65(written in Red), Normal wash 65 (written in green) and Pre Wash no heat (written in white). It had that perspex cover too so the machine looked as good as new even when it was ready to go to the skip! What killed it was a leak that went undetected and rusted the bottom off it. It was tripping the circuit breakers. It was replaced by another Bosch made Hotpoint. The DWF34. Thinking back now, the machine is pretty much identical to the Bosch machine I have now.
