Hey guys, so my machine has an unusual quirk, if you have the temperature dial set to “special Woolenns” on the temperature dial and the heater switch on the machine to warm or hot, itactually heats the rinse water for the deep rinse portion

That is because wool is prone to shrinking and felting if it cools down quickly.

Cool warmish wash and only slightly cooler rinse is how to keep woollens from shrinking and felting.

Woollens with two Ls because it is an Australian machine...

Contrary to popular belief woolens need not be washed in cold water. Any temp up to "warm" 104°F/40°C is fine.

However what will harm wool is going from one extreme temperature to another. That is if something has been washed in warm water a cold rinse can cause felting or other damage.

Wool can be washed at hot or even boil temps. It is agitation coupled with high or hot water temps that can damage wool.

Assuming your washer doesn't agitate much or at all during heating phase of rinse cycle no great harm should occur.

Yeah, the machine actually is set up to wait until after

It reaches 40/60° depending on the temperature, I do actually wonder though does the machine automatically stop at 40 or does it go to 60 as well regardless of the temperature set?
