On May 25 and 27, I will be performing on the theremin with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, under the baton of Maestro Esa-Pekka Salonen.
The program will include:
- Popov: Suite from Komsomol: Patron of Electrification
- Shostakovich: Suite from The Nose
- Shostakovich: Act 1, Scene 3, from
Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District
- Mosolov: The Iron Foundry
The work I will perform is Symphonic Suite No. 1, also known as Suite from "Komsomol: Patron of Electrification," by Russian composer Gavriil Popov (1904-1972).
