Hey there, Hi there, Ho there!!

Here we go. This is what we've worked out for July:

Thursday night: Anyone coming in Thursday for Fri/Sat festivities, c'mon over for dinner!

Friday: BRIMFIELD! We'll leave about 8am to go to Brimfield and shop for a while, maybe until 2-3pm. It's a great time and there are lots of things to see and poke through. Antiques, collectibles, junque, and more, for about 3/4 of a mile on both sides of Rt 20 in Brimfield MA. We won't be able to cover it all, but it'll be a hell of a time with what we do cover!

Friday evening: Dinner again--- JAMBALAYA!! Not too spicy, and you can add your own hot sauce or jalepenos to give it a kick if you like. We'll have hot dogs for anyone who may not like Jambalaya!

Saturday, 10am: The party begins!
Yankee Swap and mini-flea market! If you like, bring something for the Yankee Swap and bring a few goodies that you'd like to sell or trade (mark your goodies with your name and a price please!). If you haven't participated in a Yankee Swap here yet, now's your chance; we always have a blast!!! In case you don't know what a Yankee Swap is, see the reply to this message.

We'll have hot dogs and hamburgers going for when we get hungry, and maybe do the Yankee Swap and mini-flea after lunch!

Whaddya think???

Rich and Chuck

Yankee Swap

Everyone participating brings a wrapped something for the swap (usually a $10 limit), and has their name put in a hat.

When it's time for the swap, the first name is drawn. That person picks out one of the wrapped goodies and opens it.

The second name is drawn. That person chooses a goodie and opens it. Then they decide if they want to keep it, or swap it with what the first person got.

The third name is drawn. That person chooses and unwraps a goodie, and can then keep it or swap it for either of the already opened goodies.

And so on, and so on, until the last name is drawn, and the last person unwraps the last goodie and either keeps or swaps.

The final play is that the first person drawn gets to keep whatever goodie they have at this point, or swap for any of the other goodies that have been opened.

It's a lot more fun when you're actually doing it, rather than reading how to do it! Of course, that can be said about a lot of things!!! ;-p

July 14th Weekend

Hey Chuck & Rich!
Billy and I are planning on coming up for the weekend. Most likely we will meet you guys at Brimfield early Friday morning. We will come back for the festivities at your house and will participate in the Yankee Swap, as well. The Red Roof Inn is where we stayed last year and it was a fine place. For those of you who are reading this post, too, you may be interested in checking the Red Roof Inn out as an option if you plan on staying over. It was recently renovated and they cleaned up there act. Billy and I are super fussy when it comes to accommodations and so if we stayed there, it's OK. The price was decent, too! Then on Saturday we can go back to BF again and comb thru another section. Sound like a plan guys?

Yankee Swap

Ok
Can i use things round my house???? I could put together quite a nice little box of stuff.... Plus i am too nice to sell stuff i don't want to friends lol, i just give it away

Yankee Swap is a great way to pass on a duplicate or something else that you already have!

As far as the rest, nobody said the price couldn't be $0 on things you can afford to give away!!!

Chuck

LoL true... I found 4 refill size bottles of Dial hand soap last night... Why 2 gay men have that much hand soap in there apartment we will never now

Southboro, MA wash-ins are GREAT!

Well at least you have soap available for the the bathroom sink. Nothing turns my stomach more than when I go to someone's house and there is no sign of soap at the bathroom sink. Time after time after time.

I usually grab the soap that's in their tub and PURPOSELY leave it on the bathroom, sink (After having used it of course!)

Yeah well, we don't need 4 gallons of soap... What on earth are we going to do with it all??? I'll be over a hundred b4 its gone. And no i am not going to use it for any other purpose than its intended use. LoL....

Now back to the Wash in and away from my slippery situation

Well,

If you see the RE: Grill help thread, you'll see that I was able to get a new grill that I like... so far! So, I'm not worried about doing chicken on it for Saturday dinner! We'll still have the hot dogs and burgers for lunch, but I'll throw a bunch of chicken on the grill for dinner. I'll be sure to whip up a new batch of BBQ sauce between now and then!

We'd like to get a preliminary count on people if we could. If you haven't replied to this thread, but are pretty sure you'll be here, please let us know! I just want to be sure that there's enough jambalaya Friday and chicken Saturday!

Thanks,
Chuck
