Hi all,
I figure a lot of you are handy folks and have spent time working on your home or properties. My question really is about the investment value some of you have had in changing appliances in your home. I am looking to eventually change all major appliances, of course starting slow and steady but for those of you who have made major changes in important resale areas of your home: updating a dishwasher, putting in a new fridge, etc., for the purpose of raising the minimal value of your property have you found it very much beneficial to go for brand new top of the line appliances?
I am a little hazy on where the tiers are set up for that. Is it a better value to go top of the line or will i see the same return generally going with a model that is say 5 years old? I know the kids buying houses these days are really fickle about this any advice would be great.
