Used Speed Queen TL Mechanical Washer. Should I Buy?

Someone nearby is selling his Speed Queen washer and Maytag dryer for $100 total. He claims both work great. I'm waiting to hear back on the age and model number of the Speed Queen. From the pictures, both look immaculate.

I ordered a new washer, but I could mothball this one as a back up or for parts (I have room in my basement).

Your thoughts about getting the washer?

Used SQ TL Washer

It looks to be around 10 years old, if you get the serial # the first four digits tell you the month and year built.

 

The used one looks ok for a 10 YO washer but it is a little cruddy around the lid and LCB dispenser.

Top left hand corner where you put bleach.
