Good choice Louis, does this machine do a Phillips type Spin Drain or is there a problem not pumping out fast enough???

Love how the lines of sudz line up on the clear lid after being spun through the holes!!!

I'm not sure Mike, but it looks like it pumps the water out first. The spin speed is already at it's max. I think. This is 1963 and it looks like the washer has no suspension, just like the older Philips toploaders with the glass lid.

This machine, one of mine, is a BRANDT (French brand), with no suspension.
You're right: it pumps out first, then spins but at a low speed (300 rpm).

I was watching how its made and they built this exact same style of washing machine. What do you call this style?

In Europe this is a regular toploader. Americans usually call this an H-axis toploader.

Thanks for posting this video. What is the difference between the two dials that are being set on the machine? The labeling on the dials is hard to read on the screen.

The dial on the right is the timer, the one on the left is the thermostat. The washer fills with cold and the built in heater heats the water till the desired temperature is achieved. I guess he set this on 40*C/105*F.

There is a Philips toploader indeed, but in some pictures you can see a Philips frontloader too. Could be a 606.

No, it's a simpler machine (see thread14088 post 241586). I have a RAIDOLA PENTAMATIC too (exactly the same than philips 303).
